You spawn at your campsite. No mob can enter the concrete circle around the campfire, and nothing can hurt you while you are inside it.

Throw fuel into the campfire (Q, or right click it): pine logs, pine planks, coal, rotten flesh, spectral logs. 15, 50 and 150 fuel take it to level 2, 3 and 4, and every level opens more of the forest. At level 4, feed the Shrine 100 fuel to get a Knight Heart for level 5.

From the second night the Draugr Knight hunts you outside the circle. It can't be killed. From night 4 the Draugr Warper may come instead. Neither can reach you inside the circle.

Find the four missing kids, Bob, Imara, Enoch and Carmen, in the landmarks. The reviving pod brings you back 3 times.

Wheat and potatoes grow wild in the forest beyond the first edge of the map. Break them for food and seeds; right click grass or dirt with seeds to plant them, and bonemeal (from bones, at the workbench) makes a sprout grow at once. The Traveling Trader gives corn and potato seeds for bones.

At level 5 a portal appears at the camp. It needs four keystones, from Molten Gorge, Mount Doomrock, Frozen Lagoon and Wraith Lair: climb the broken path to the top of each (the chests at the foot have Jump Potions). The Draugr Reaver guards Frozen Lagoon's and the Frost Wraith guards Wraith Lair's. With all four, step through the portal to send the kids home and start Inferno Mode.

Multiplayer (on the website): one player hosts and gives the others the game's code. Everyone shares the campfire, the reviving pod and the forest. With the pod broken, a player who goes down waits for a teammate to use a Revive Splash Potion next to them; the run ends when everyone is down.
